The Outlander MAX XT-P features the best of both worlds: two-up capability for a comfortable ride that you can turn into a one-up sport-oriented ATV within seconds. You’re riding to experience everything that’s out there. This makes sure you’re ready for anything.

The Outlander MAX XT-P includes the signature Outlander MAX versatility and two-up capability, and adds steering and suspension features that make it the only sport-oriented two-up ATV. Featuring beadlock wheels that make it nearly impossible for the tire to break from the wheel. And add a sportier look. Plus, it has Air Control rear Suspension (ACS) with rider-selectable preload levels. Adjust it on the fly for an improved ride as conditions demand. You’re riding to experience everything that’s out there. This makes sure you’re ready for anything.

- 12-in. beadlock wheels
- Painted black/flat black with trick yellow accents
- Convertible Rack/Seat System (CRS)
- Tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)
- Visco-Lok QE front differential
- Aluminum handlebar
- Wind deflectors

2012 Can-Am Outlander MAX 650 XT-P Features and Benefits

60-hp Rotax 650 V-Twin, liquid-cooled EFI engine

This 60-hp, 80º V-Twin engine is the most powerful engine below 800 cc. The liquid-cooled, single overhead cam power plant has four valves per cylinder, a 46-mm throttle body and two VDO Siemens‡ fuel injectors. The EFI automatically keeps the engine’s performance at its peak, regardless of temperature or altitude. Progressive throttle ensures power is manageable whether in precise rock crawling or on the straights.

Air Control Suspension (ACS) with FOX Racing Shox8 HPG rear shocks

The industry's first air-controlled suspension. Via an onboard compressor, the system adjusts the rear high-pressure gas FOX Racing Shox-built shocks to six rider-selectable preload levels. This allows the rear suspension performance of the XT-P to be adjusted on-the-fly depending on terrain or vehicle load. It also comes with a hose that can be used to fill tires while out on the trail.

Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with engine braking

For ease of use, you can count on the CVT transmission that features engine braking to help slow you when going downhill.

Tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS™)

The Tri-Mode DPS™ features three rider-selectable modes (MIN, MED and MAX) of steering depending on rider preference. The system is designed to offer less assist at high speed and more assist at low speed. This technology also includes a Direct Link setup that uses advanced magnetic field sensors for faster response to steering input than competitive technology, which then minimizes steering lag. Less kickback and more trail feedback is supplied to the operator because of the 50:1 final gear ratio, which is the largest in the industry. A high-capacity 50-amp motor means the DPS™ will never fade with heavy use and all DPS™-equipped models also come with the Visco-Lok† QE.

Double A-arm front suspension

The front suspension geometry provides light steering on the trail meaning less rider fatigue.

Visco-Lok† QE auto-locking front differential

All DPS-equipped models have the Visco-Lok† QE calibration up front, which has all the features and benefits of the standard quick-engagement Visco-Lok† differential, but with an even quicker engagement point. This differential, unlike some competitors' differentials, does not have a speed limiter.

Torsional Trailing arm Independent rear suspension (TTI)

The only independent rear suspension that eliminates scrub and camber changes, meaning the wheels pivot up and down rather than in a butterfly motion like competitors' systems. This ensures the vehicle only moves in the direction you point it. With fewer moving parts than competitive systems. The proven TTI rear suspension has a suspension travel of 9 in. (229 mm) .

3,000-lb WARN8 winch with roller fairlead, wired remote control & integrated remote storage

This powerful 3,000-lb (1,361 kg) capacity factory-installed winch is equipped with a wired remote control that neatly stows in the underside of the ATV's front storage compartment cover.

Visco-Lok† auto-locking 4x4 front differential

The Visco-Lok† 4 x 4 system constantly monitors front wheel speed and, if it detects one wheel spinning faster than the other, it progressively sends more power to the wheel with the better traction. And it does it all without the rider having to lift a finger.

12-in. aluminum beadlock wheels

Mechanical fastening device that makes it nearly impossible for the tire to break its bead from the wheel during heavy acceleration or cornering.

Center skid plate

Center skid plate made of 5-mm thick injection-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Offers better frame protection for riding in rough terrain.

26 in. Carlisle8 ACT radial tires

These 26 in., 3-ply tires feature a tread pattern that is aggressive enough to tackle the toughest terrain, yet provide a smooth ride in a lightweight package.

Steel racks with 300 lb (136 kg) capacity

Heavy-duty front and rear bumpers

The front and rear bumpers are factory installed and are covered by a factory warranty. The added protection gives peace of mind in rugged conditions.
Multi-function digital gauge

Tells the rider everything in one easy glance. Our easy-to-read multi-function gauge is equipped with a digital information center including a speedometer, tachometer , odometer, trip meter, gear position, hour meter, engine hour meter, temperature and engine lights, fuel gauge and a clock function.
Aluminum taper-profile handlebar with wind deflectors and square pad
D.E.S.S.™ (Digitally Encoded Security System)

Outlander MAX models feature the exclusive D.E.S.S.™ anti-theft system. The ATV will not start unless a coded microchip in the key matches a code embedded in the engine control module. It means only you can start your vehicle.

650-W magneto

This package provides a more powerful magneto with 650 watts of power output.
Ergonomic passenger backrest

A well-padded active backrest moves with rider for better comfort.
Mudguards

Provide added protection in muddy conditions.
Convertible Rack/Seat system (CRS) with storage box

Takes the Outlander MAX from one-up to two-up in a matter of seconds. Gives you plenty of storage in one-up mode and unmatched comfort and convenience for your passenger when riding two-up -all without tools.

Painted black with yellow side pannels

Raised floorboards - Raised passenger floorboards for added comfort.

Multi-position passenger handgrips - For added comfort.

2011 Honda FourTrax Foreman 4X4 with Power Steering TRX500FPM

The 2011 Honda FourTrax Foreman 4X4 with Power Steering TRX500FPM is built to handle the toughest jobs, of course. But when the work is done and the weekend dawns, the Foreman can't wait to show you its fun-loving side. No matter how you use your Foreman, you'll love its powerful 475 cc air-cooled engine that churns out torque low in the rev range yet also has exciting top-end performance thanks in part to its hemispherical combustion chamber. A precise foot-shift transmission, easily switchable 2WD/4WD, stable yet comfortable suspension, and specially designed front disc brakes with thick, long-life brake pads, all combine to make your work more productive, and your play way more fun.

To build a great workhorse ATV, we start with the heart

The FourTrax Foreman 4x4 is built around our strong, single-cylinder, 475cc longitudinal engine. By orienting the crankshaft front-to-back in the chassis, we route the flow of power straight to the wheels without any right-angle detours, reducing power-train friction and putting more grunt to the ground. Hey, it's a Honda. You wouldn't expect anything less.

FourTrax Foreman 4x4/FourTrax Foreman 4x4 with Electric Power Steering

This powerful and rugged 4x4 ATV mates a reliable manual-shift gearbox to a time-tested air-cooled 475cc OHV engine--it's Honda quality at its best. And you have the choice of standard steering or the ease of Electric Power Steering (EPS).

Your weekly list of chores isn’t getting easier, so why would you opt for an ATV that isn’t up to the job? Enter the Honda FourTrax Foreman 4x4, a tough-as-nails machine that’s one of the hardest-working ATVs in our Utility lineup, featuring a beefy 475cc, longitudinally mounted single armed with heaps of task-tackling torque. Our exclusive, electronic, shift-on-the-fly TraxLok® selectable 2WD/4WD system. And optional, push-button Electric Shift Program (ESP) and Electric Power Steering (EPS) to help make your work that much easier.

And for the record, after you’ve put away your tools, the Foreman 4x4 loves to play just as hard as it works.

Important Safety Information
Recommended for riders 16 years of age and older. Honda recommends that all ATV riders take a training course and read their owner's manual thoroughly.

2011 Honda FourTrax Foreman 4X4 with Power Steering TRX500FPM Features:

Strength of Character.
Need an engine packing the punch to get you up or down the trail? The Foreman 4x4’s 475cc air-cooled OHV four-stroke delivers serious doses of both torque and power to get the job done.

Effort Less.
Honda’s Electric Power Steering (EPS) uses high-tech torque sensors that measure steering force and then automatically adjust how much extra (or less) assist you need.

Maximum Versatility.
With Honda’s exclusive TraxLok® system, you can toggle between 2WD and 4WD with push-button ease. Even better, you can do it on the fly.

Accessories as tough as the ATVs they’re on.
When you're riding the best ATV on the planet, only the best accessories will do—Honda Genuine Accessories. These accessories are designed specifically for your Honda vehicle and feature the same quality and durability you’ve come to expect from Honda.

Semi-Dry-Sump Engine Design - Compact and lighter-weight, the Foreman 4x4's semi-dry sump and overhead valve designs create an engine that's not only shorter from top to bottom, but one that enhances handling by lowering the center of gravity while increasing ground clearance as well.

Advanced Front Suspension - With its independent double-wishbone design, the Foreman 4x4's front suspension—featuring KYB shocks with 6.7" of travel—allows each wheel to react separately over rough or uneven terrain, thus ensuring a smoother, more controlled ride.

Electric Power Steering (EPS) - Both speed- and torque-sensitive, Honda's Electric Power Steering (EPS) excels at reducing both steering effort and kickback through the handlebar.

Electric Shift Program (ESP) - Flicking between gears should always be this easy. With Honda's unique ESP system, up- and downshifting is as simple and fast as pushing one of two handlebar-mounted buttons. ESP is also a bonus when riding in heavy or mud/snow-covered boots.

TraxLok® - This shift-on-the-fly system lets you toggle between 2WD and 4WD, giving you the freedom to take advantage of lighter steering (in 2WD) and maximum traction (4WD) when you need it most.

- Multi-function LCD digital meter is compact, tough and waterproof, featuring large readouts for fuel gauge, gear position, speedometer, odometer, tripmeter, hourmeter/clock and oil-change reminder. Meter housing includes lights for Reverse, Neutral, oil temperature and front differential indicator.

- Revolutionary Electric Power Steering (EPS).

Plus there’s a 3,000 lb winch, front and rear bumpers, cast-aluminum wheels and more. It’s loaded with the features that let you ride farther without worrying if you’re prepared.

*Available on Outlander MAX 800R, 650 and 500 XT

2012 Can-Am Outlander MAX 500 XT Key Features

- The XT package offers all the standard Outlander MAX 500 features, PLUS: Tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)
- Visco-Lok QE auto-locking front differential
- 3,000-lb Warn winch
- Heavy-duty front and rear bumpers
- Handlebar wind deflectors

2012 Can-Am Outlander MAX 500 XT Features and Benefits

40.4-hp Rotax 500 V-Twin, liquid-cooled EFI engine

This powerful 40.4-hp engine is liquid cooled with SOHC with 4 valves per cylinder and features 2 injectors for a precise fuel delivery and throttle response. The only V-Twin in its class.

Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with engine braking

For ease of use, you can count on the CVT transmission that features engine braking to help slow you when going downhill.

MacPherson front suspension

This front suspension provides a plush and precise ride.
Cast-aluminum wheels with machined finish

Lightweight 4 twin-spoke design gives an aggressive and premium look to the Outlander

(229 mm) .
25-in. Carlisle8 ACT radial tires

These 25-in., 3-ply tires feature a tread pattern that is aggressive enough to tackle the toughest terrain, yet provide a smooth ride in a lightweight package.
Center skid plate

Center skid plate made of 5-mm thick injection-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Offers better frame protection for riding in rough terrain.

Our easy-to-read multi-function gauge is equipped with a digital information center including a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meter, gear position, hour meter, engine hour meter, temperature and engine lights, fuel gauge and a clock function.

Handlebar with wind deflectors

Premium look and protection from brush and cold.

Convertible Rack/Seat system (CRS) with storage box

Takes the Outlander MAX from one-up to two-up in a matter of seconds. Gives you plenty of storage in one-up mode and unmatched comfort and convenience for your passenger when riding two-up -all without tools.

Raised floorboards - Raised passenger floorboards for added comfort.

Multi-position passenger handgrips - For added comfort.

2012 Honda FourTrax Foreman 4x4 with Electric Power Steering TRX500FPM Review

Built to work with Electric Power Steering.

For 2012, the FourTrax® Foreman® line of 4x4 ATVs boasts a brand-new engine plus a re-engineered chassis featuring a new single-shock rear-suspension system-upgrades that make this brawny ranch hand tougher than ever, whether the day calls for nonstop work or a pleasant weekend ride up to that special fishing stream. Now equipped with an all-new and sophisticated liquid-cooled 475cc single-cylinder OHV four-stroke engine, the Foreman also features a new fuel injection system with 36mm throttle body for instant throttle response, consistent performance at high altitude, and hassle-free cold-weather starting. The rear suspension system is lighter than before, thanks to a new design centered around a single, high-quality shock for increased comfort, precision and work capabilities. Also, a shorter wheelbase aids agile handling and helps produce a tighter turning radius. Add in all new styling with a rugged and tough look and you'll see why with credentials like this, the Foreman is the perfect way to lighten the day's work or whisk you away on a day-ride adventure.

Honda's Foreman family of all-terrain vehicles have always been the machines to count on when you need an ATV that's not afraid to take on the tough jobs. And this year they're better than ever: Stronger, smarter, even harder working, whether it's around the ranch, factory, or your favorite trail.

How can that be? Because in addition to four-wheel drive and Honda's innovative Electric Power Steering, the Foreman line now features Honda's Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI). That means you get more efficient fuel delivery, easier starting in cold conditions, and less maintenance. While we were at it, we gave the Foreman a new look too, with new, aggressively styled bodywork, plusher suspension, and a more comfortable seat.

So tackling those tough jobs just got a whole lot easier if you hire the right Foreman to take charge of your jobsite.

Fuel-Injected Performance

The Foreman's new fuel-injection system means you'll get an ATV that works harder, with better fuel management and plenty of power and torque for those tough jobs.

A whole new look.

The Foreman line's new bodywork gives it a tough new look. But it does more than just look good: It's still designed to last, despite the scrapes and dings of the job or the woods, to help protect you from mud and other debris, and to keep looking good as long as you own your Honda.

Works hard. Rides easy.

The better your new Foreman rides, the shorter your workday will seem. That's why we gave our 2012 Foreman line a plusher suspension, better ergonomics, and a new, softer seat. It all adds up to a Foreman with a more comfortable ride that is looking out for number one—and that's you

High-Tech Industry.

Sure, they're rugged and reliable, but Honda Utility ATVs are also built to make your life easier, whether you're working the back 40 or your favorite trail, and we achieve this with some of the most revolutionary technology in the industry. Like Electric Power Steering, designed with torque and speed sensors to reduce steering effort (and rider fatigue) when the going gets tough. Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) that allows both rear wheels to move independently, helping you maintain traction and control even in rough terrain.

And there's a transmission for every type of use. Our continuously variable, fully automatic Hondamatic™ transmission (available on the Foreman Rubicon), is the smoothest ATV transmission you'll ever experience. The three-speed Honda Automatic transmission (an automotive-style torque converter) is available on our FourTrax Rincon. And the Rancher AT has the Honda automatic dual-clutch, five-speed transmission, which features one of the slickest- and quickest-shifting gearboxes on dirt.

And this is just for starters, as our feature-packed machines are all built with the same purpose in mind: to work and play hard so you don't have to.

Our engineers work hard, so you don't have to.

The new Foreman line is a great example of how smarter is better. The combination of this year's new fuel-injection system and revised suspension team up with such proven Foreman features as our solid rear axle for better towing performance, Honda's exclusive longitudinally mounted engines for superior driveline efficiency, and Honda's unmatched reputation for durability, quality, and reliability.

Important Safety Information
Recommended for riders 16 years of age and older. Honda recommends that all ATV riders take a training course and read their owner's manual thoroughly.
