Thanks to its 246cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, which delivers smooth power throughout the rpm range. The z250 has a compression ratio of 9:2:1, automatic cam chain tensioner and breathes through a 29mm Mikuni BSR carburetor. Other vital components include a large airbox, lightweight crankshaft, and an exhaustsystem tuned for awesome power output with a sporty growl. Power is directed through a slick 5-speed manual transmission, complete with reverse gear, and ultra-efficient, low-maintenance shaft-drive assembly.
Hydraulic disc brakes up fornt utilize large-diameter rotors for powerful yet consistant stopping power. In the rear, a single cable actuated drum brake doubles as a parking brake.
Additional perks include serrated steel footpegs for maximum control, a 5-liter, water-resistant utility box under the seat, 21-watt brake light, 150 watt generator and maintenance free battery complete the quater liter QuadSport package.
